Deaf Resource Consultant
Our resource consultants specialized in the field of deaf education provide services across Ontario and provide resource consulting services to the twelve French language school boards. These consultants provide help to the Identification, Placement and Review Committees (IPRC) that deal with students with hearing loss enrolled in district school boards as well as provide support with the needs assessment and the Individual Education Plan (IEP) for these same children.
Vision Resource Consultant
Our resource consultants provide services to Francophone students in Ontario who are blind, have low vision or associated conditions. The service targets preschool and school-age children, their parents, as well as the French language district school boards where these children are enrolled. This service may include a functional assessment of vision, support with the Individual Education Plan (IEP) and home and/or school visits.
The service also includes transcription in alternate formats of textbooks authorized by the Ministry. For a direct access to AERO (Alternate Education Resources Ontario), please visit http://alternativeresources.ca/Aero/Public/WelcomePage.aspx.
This team is particularly sensitive to technological progress, particularly that which is liable to help the target population.
Deafblind Resource Consultant
Our resource consultants provide services to students from all the twelve French language district school boards in the province. These consultants provide support services to children, parents, school boards and child care centres.
It is important to mention that the provincial school of the Centre Jules-Léger works in close collaboration with the Marius-Barbeau school of the Conseil des écoles catholiques de langue française du Centre Est.
